Daisy -- Red-tick (English) Coon Hound

I’m about 18 months old, and have just had my booster shots for 2007.  I was spayed in 2006, before my previous owner took me to their house. I was a member of their family for a year, and loved to play with the cat and the little boy, but they had to let me come live with Susan and her dogs because they were moving into an apartment.

I like dogs and cats and people, too. See me with Trinket, the smooth collie and Honey, the golden-chow mix. We all get along just fine as long as I remember that Trinket is the boss. Trinket is a shepherd dog, and she gives tiny little nips to keep Honey and me in line.

I like to howl at the coyotes and cottontails and jack rabbits that live outside the dog yard. Susan took this picture early in the morning before the sun was really up because she wanted you to see what a good hound I am.

I'm a little overweight. The vet told Susan to give me carrots and greenbeans and broccoli instead of dry food, along with the premium canned food I get in the morning.  "Doctor knows best," Susan tells me. I'm not sure I like that idea, but maybe I'll feel a lot better if we go along with the vet's plan.

I really like it at Susan's but she says I need a family with people who are strong like me and want to help me learn good doggie manners like walking calmly on a leash and coming when called (I'm already pretty good at that) and sitting down when asked.
